Mental health is about feeling well and being able to do the things you want to do. Being mentally well means being able to feel and share emotions without them taking over, having positive and safe relationships with others, and coping with the normal problems that happen in our lives. Just like physical health, there are many areas that need to be maintained to keep your mental health at its best.

If your child is struggling in these areas, talk to your family doctor or nurse. They can listen to your concerns, give you medical help, and refer you to the mental health counsellor at your doctor's office for more support and information.
