The Hamilton Family Health Team offers physiotherapy to complement existing services and improve the care of medically complex patients.
Eligibility:
Patients of the Hamilton Family Health Team who meet the following criteria may be eligible for free physiotherapy:

Age 20-64
-
No extended health benefits for physiotherapy through work/school

No WSIB or MVA claim related to this injury
-
No ongoing litigation related to this injury
Appointments
You may request an appointment with a physiotherapist by calling your family doctor’s office. All visits are covered by the Ontario Ministry of Health for patients of the Hamilton Family Health Team.
What does a physiotherapist do?

Promotes optimal mobility, physical activity and overall health and wellness;

Prevents disease, injury, and disability;

Manages acute and chronic conditions, activity limitations, and participation restrictions;

Improves and maintains optimal functional independence and physical performance;

Rehabilitates injury and the effects of disease or disability with therapeutic exercise programs and other interventions; and
-
Educate and plan maintenance and support programs to prevent re-occurrence, re-injury or functional decline.
Physiotherapists are health professionals who provide safe, quality client-centred physiotherapy through a commitment to service availability, accessibility and excellence.
