Do you know of a resource that could be helpful to LGBTQ patients or their health care providers? Please email Sabrena Dorris or call 905-667-4848 ext. 105.
The HFHT Positive committee works to make the HFHT a safer and more welcoming space for patients and staff with marginalized sexual orientations and gender identities, including people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and queer (LGBTQ).
The LGBTQ community has greater physical and mental health needs, but many people delay or avoid seeking health care, or don't feel comfortable sharing important information about themselves with health care providers. We provide training, resources and peer consultation to help our teams give excellent care to LGBTQ patients.
If you're interested in joining the committee, email Sabrena Dorris or call 905-667-4848 ext. 105.
