The HFHT is on a journey to ensure that its culture supports diversity and inclusion.
- April 2021: An EDI Advisory Committee was created to work alongside consultants Evelyn Myrie and Audrey Wubbenhorst of EMPOWER Strategy.
- Summer 2021: A survey was conducted regarding Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at HFHT. Over 200 staff and affiliates participated.
- Fall 2021: 5 virtual town halls and 5 focus groups were conducted to provide deeper context to EMPOWER Strategy.
- Spring 2022: Over 200 people from HFHT received foundational EDI training.
- May 2022: EMPOWER Strategy delivered the final report with recommendations detailing how to incorporate more EDI within HFHT.
- June 2022: An EDI Coordinator and permanent EDI Committee are established.
